The Importance of English Language Skills in Culinary Arts

Boosting Culinary Education and Training

About project

English language proficiency is becoming increasingly vital in the European labour market, particularly in the gastronomy sector. The hospitality industry often requires communication with clients and colleagues from different countries. In multicultural environments, misunderstandings may arise due to language barriers.

Mastery of professional terminology enables precise and efficient communication, ensuring tasks are completed accurately and fostering a sense of teamwork. This enhances the reputation of companies and educational institutions while opening doors to international culinary events.

The primary goal of the project is to enhance the gastronomy curricula of the participating schools by incorporating the CLIL (Content and Language Integrated Learning) methodology.
